The Heckscher Lab is part of the Department of Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology in the Biological Sciences Division and a member of the Neuroscience Institute at the University of Chicago.

Interested graduate students are encouraged to apply through the Cell & Molecular Biology (CMB), Development, Regeneration, & Stem Cell Biology (DRSB), or Neurobiology programs. Current UChicago PhD students interested in setting up a rotation should email Ellie.

We are also accepting postdoc applications. Please email a single PDF containing information about previous research, future research interests, professional goals, your CV, and the names of three references.

We accept a limited number of UChicago undergraduates each year. Please email us if you are interested in working in the lab during the academic year or over the summer. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to mentor high school students at this time.
